Beaumont, TX, Sept. 10, 2012 - The Provost & Umphrey Law Firm, L.L.P. ("Provost"), in association with its foreign counsel, announces the global settlement of all litigation against Dole Food Company, Inc. involving Central Americans' exposure to the pesticide dibromochloropropane ("DBCP").

Provost represents DBCP clients from five Central American countries--Nicaragua, Honduras, Costa Rica, Panama, and Guatemala. The Dole settlement involves only three of those countries, Nicaragua, Honduras, and Costa Rica; and it terminates litigation against Dole in both Los Angeles Superior Court and the courts of Nicaragua.

The Dole settlement, agreed-to by almost 100% of the Provost clients in those three countries, was specifically examined and approved by a California state court.
