Provost Umphrey's Joseph Fisher Named a 2013 Texas Super Lawyer

September 10 , 2013 BEAUMONT, TX: Provost Umphrey Law Firm, L.L.P., attorney Joseph J. Fisher II has been named to the Texas Super Lawyers 2013 listing of the state's top lawyers in the area of Personal Injury Plaintiff General. This prestigious list only includes five percent of lawyers in the state.

Joe Fisher is board-certified in Personal Injury Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and he is admitted to practice in Texas, the U.S. District Courts in the Eastern and Southern Districts of Texas and the U.S. Court of Appeals 5th Circuit. His areas of expertise include personal injury, toxic tort, FELA, refinery accidents and Jones Act Seaman.

Fisher has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer since 2008 and as one of The Best Lawyers in America® in 2014. In 2003, Joe was distinguished as one of 40 lawyers under the age of 40 who had excelled in his or her respective fields in Texas Lawyer magazine on the Texas "Top 40 Under 40" listing. He is a member of the State Bar of Texas, the Jefferson County Bar Association and the Texas Trial Lawyers Association.

Active in his community, Joe Fisher is on the board of Girl's Haven, a charitable organization that provides housing, supervision, counseling and life's daily needs for young women and girls whose family situation requires that they live outside their homes either temporarily or permanently. He also serves on the Board of Directors for the Erhart School in Beaumont, Texas, a charter school that serves as an alternative to public or private school for children from Kindergarten through 8th grade.
