Bryan O. Blevins Jr. has been named to the Texas Super Lawyers 2013 listing of the state's top lawyers in the area of Personal Injury Plaintiff Products. This prestigious list only includes five percent of lawyers in the state.
Bryan Blevins is a native of Lufkin, Texas and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and History from Southern Methodist University, Dallas, Texas in 1987. He earned his law degree from the Baylor University School of Law, Waco, Texas in 1990.
Blevins joined Provost*Umphrey in 1990 specializing in
personal injury law and becoming a firm equity partner in 1997. Over the last twenty years, Blevins has prepared, tried and appealed numerous personal injury and civil litigation matters, earning his board certification in personal injury trial law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in 1995.
Blevins was Baylor Young Lawyer of the Year in 2005 and been recognized by his peers as a Texas Super Lawyer since its inception in 2003. On behalf of Provost*Umphrey and its many clients, Mr. Blevins currently serves on the Texas Asbestos MDL Liaison Committee; several asbestos and silica Bankruptcy Creditor and Trust Advisory and as the
asbestos liaison to the Texas Legislature for the Texas Trial Lawyers Association. At Provost*Umphrey, Bryan serves as administrator, trial coordinator and litigator for its asbestos department and assists with the administration and strategic planning of other mass tort dockets including silica and pharmaceutical cases.
Blevins has been recognized as a Texas Super Lawyer since 2003. He has received additional professional awards, including being recognized as one of The Best Lawyers in America® in 2014, and selected as the southeast Texas lawyer of the year for product liability litigation by Best Lawyers.
