October 12, 2013 BEAUMONT, TX -Provost Umphrey employees laced up their sneakers Saturday, October 12 to support the American Cancer Society by running in the Making Strides 5K. The firm raised additional money to benefit the run by allowing employees to wear jeans to work if they donated to the cause.
The event was held at the Lamar University Dauphin Athletic Complex.
The Making Strides event is part of a national effort to honor survivors of breast cancer, raise cancer awareness and help raise money for the American Cancer Society. The money fundraised through these events held across the country will help provide groundbreaking breast cancer research, information and support 24-7, and access to mammograms for women.
