, Oct. 23, 2013 - The Provost Umphrey Law Firm is being inducted into Texas Lawyer's inaugural Texas Verdicts Hall of Fame for the 2012 jury verdict in
JJJJ Walker LLC vs. First National Bank.
A Harris County State District Court jury awarded a $118,121,454 verdict to six investors that were defrauded by First National Bank of Edinburg, Conroe attorney Eric Yollick and a healthcare management group. Members of the jury found that First National Bank, Eric Yollick and the Merensky Reef Hospital Corporation breached their written agreement and committed fraud when the Defendants wrongfully conspired to take possession of three hospitals purchased by the investor plaintiffs.
Zona Jones of the ProvostÂ«Umphrey Law Firm and Mike McCauley of McWhorter, Cobb and Johnson were the co-lead counsel. Plaintiffs were also represented by Tim Pridmore and Andrew Seger of the McWhorter firm, along with Pat Zummo of The Law Offices of Patrick Zummo. Marc Tabolsky and Dori K. Goldberg of Yetter Coleman in Houston also assisted.

Texas Verdicts Hall of Fame event, sponsored by America Legal Media.
