March 14, 2013 BEAUMONT, TX: LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell® has recognized Provost Umphrey Law Firm, L.L.P., with 11 Provost Umphrey attorneys having earned the AV® Preeminent TM rating this year. This rating is Martindale-Hubbell's highest possible rating for both ethical standards and legal ability.

To be eligible as a 2013 U.S. Top Ranked Law Firm, a firm must have a minimum of 10 attorneys and at least one in three of these attorneys must have achieved an AV® Preeminent TM rating. A letter sent to Provost Umphrey from Carlton Dyce, Vice President of Martindale-Hubbell® Peer Ratings TM said, "Having a significant percentage of attorneys with this peer review rating is a reflection of your firm's expertise, experience, integrity and overall professional excellence. Your firm's lawyers are part of a select group recognized for exceptional legal abilities and professional ethical standards."

The AV rating represents the pinnacle of professional excellence. It is achieved only after an attorney has been reviewed and recommended by their peers - members of the bar and the judiciary.
