Provost Umphrey Fighting for Justice for 18-Wheeler Accident Victim

Beaumont, TX – May 16, 2021, Robert Carlton of Evadale, was a passenger of a 2018 Black Ford F150 Pickup Truck travelling westbound on Interstate 10 in Beaumont when the driver of an 18-wheeler, employed by Tri National, Inc, crossed the concrete median barrier from the eastbound lane. The 18-wheeler struck and crushed the vehicle in which Carlton was a passenger.

Carlton sustained traumatic head injuries as well as injuries to his arms, neck and back.

“Due to the Defendant’s negligence, our client has suffered severe injuries and is incurring significant medical bills and lost wages as a result of being unable to return to work.”, says personal injury lawyer, Matthew Matheny. “We will prosecute this matter to determine exactly why this avoidable accident happened and we will seek just financial compensation for his economic and non-economic damages.”

Th plaintiff is seeking damages exceeding $1,000,000.00.

The case is Robert Carlton and Suhail Patel v. Tri National, Inc. and Andis Bolden, Cause No. B-207787 in the 60th District Court of Jefferson County, Texas.
