BEAUMONT, Texas – Attorneys and staff at Provost Umphrey Law Firm are proud to have accomplished their 2019 goal of volunteering at 50 local charities in honor of the firm’s 50th anniversary.
The Beaumont-based trial law firm has a history of giving back to the community, and Provost Umphrey leaders wanted to recognize the firm’s anniversary by encouraging employees to volunteer at a charity of their choosing on the firm’s time.
“We work every day to serve individuals and families who have been injured or suffered catastrophic losses,” said Provost Umphrey equity partner James E. Payne. “As part of our commitment, it’s a priority to continue to support the broader community we serve and that supports us. Provost Umphrey takes pride in our employees giving their time to help those in need.”
Here are some of the community organizations among the 50 the law firm aided during the year:
- Girls' Haven
- The Humane Society
- Meals on Wheels
- Harvest House
- Buckner Children and Family Services
- CASA of Southeast Texas
- Mid-County Paws of Hope
- Southeast Texas Hospice
- Boys' Haven
- Beaumont Heritage Society
- Family Services of Southeast Texas
- Habitat for Humanity
- Boys and Girls Club of Beaumont and Port Arthur
- Julie Rogers Gift of Life

The firm will complete its 50th and final volunteer opportunity on December 13th at the Museum of the Gulf Coast.
