Mr. Hamilton is currently representing VA nurse practitioners and physician assistants involved in an unpaid overtime lawsuit, a case that received class-action status this year. In another notable success, he secured a $5.8 million verdict on behalf of Tyson Foods employees in a back-pay compensation lawsuit and defeated a motion for a new trial. The case went all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court, where the justices upheld the lower court decision for the employees.
For the Mid-South Super Lawyers listing, no more than 5 percent of lawyers in the region are chosen by the research team annually. Selections are made through an extensive process, including a statewide survey of attorneys, an independent research evaluation of candidates and peer review by lawyers in the applicable practice area.
