Personally Speaking with... Edward Fisher

Edward Fisher joined Provost Umphrey in 2001. Since then, he has obtained multiple verdicts and settlements on behalf of clients. In March 2016, a jury awarded a $4.2 million verdict on behalf of a wrongful death client. The verdict came just four months after a Pennsylvania jury awarded one of Fisher’s clients $1.25 million. Fisher was named to the Best Lawyers in America list in 2015 and 2016.

  • What made you want to become a lawyer? My father and two brothers were lawyers before I became one, so it’s in my blood.
  • Why did you decide to focus on personal injury law? It’s the only type of law that I felt passionate about.
  • What do you do for fun? Traveling with my family or a group of friends and bow hunting.
  • Where did you grow up? Austin, TX
  • What is your favorite place in Southeast Texas? Ju Ju’s Crawfish Shack
  • What is your proudest moment? Becoming a father
  • What is your favorite movie? Shawshank Redemption
  • If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? No brainer…Macaroni and Cheese
  • What goals do you have for yourself for the next five years? I would like to win jury verdicts in as many different states as possible. I have won verdicts in 5 different states now.
  • What is one destination in the world that is on your travel bucket list? Alaska
