Guy Fisher, attorney with Provost Umphrey Law Firm in Beaumont Texas, practices in the areas of toxic exposure, products liability, class actions, and general personal injury litigation. He has litigated plaintiff personal injury and civil litigation cases since 1994. Fisher is licensed to practice in Texas and Mississippi.

In recent years Fisher has obtained multiple significant verdicts and settlements on behalf of his clients. In 2016 he served as class counsel in Wayne Miner, et al. vs. Philip Morris Companies, Inc., et al. ( In The Circuit Court, Pulaski County, Arkansas, Sixth Division; No. CV03-4661 ) DTPA Light Cigarette Litigation that resulted in a class settlement of $45,000,000.

Additionally, he has handled silicosis litigation filed in the states of Texas, Mississippi, Ohio, Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Louisiana. Fisher previously served or is currently serving as plaintiffs’ counsel in some of the largest multi-plaintiff silicosis cases. He was lead trial counsel in Donald Tompkins vs. U.S. Silica Company and recovered a jury verdict of $7,500,000, which is the largest reported verdict in the history of silica litigation.

A graduate of the University of Houston Law Center, Fisher completed his undergraduate degree in business administration at Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas. Fisher was a finalist and quarterfinalist in the James T. Hippard Mock Trial Competition and the James Black Moot Court Competition respectively.
